Now, they have been selling at the market for 2 years and they are proud that their operation is all natural. They operate without the use any chemicals or fertilizers. Elisabeth LaingElisabeth Laing, East St. Paul. At the market since 1993Elisabeth Laing's fundamental belief is that it is of the utmost importance to have fresh, good quality fruit or vegetables for your home preserves. During the summer months, she transforms her daily picking of fruit or vegetables from her garden and creates a beautiful selection of appealing pickles and jams that are not available at any local grocery store. Her techniques and love of cooking and preserving is clearly evident in the clarity of her jams, and particularly her pristine red crabapple jelly. Each jar of pickles and jam/jelly has balance and an unmistakable homemade flavour, with no additives; just pure and natural flavour. Products: Hearty vegetable borstch; Sauerkraut; Pickled young beets; Crisp pickle slices; Cold water dills; Mustard pickles; Gooseberry jam; Wild saskatoon jam; Red crabapple jelly; Bumbleberry Jam; Blueberry jam; Apricot conserve; and Strawberry Rhubarb jam, to name a few. Heirloom garlic and garlic scapes; some fruit and vegetables. |

Phil’s HoneyPhil Veldhuis, Starbuck. At the market since 1991Phil has been an apiarist or ‘beekeeper’ for as long as he can remember! His honey is mainly clover but has other varieties as well. He is also on the St. Norbert Farmers’ Market Board of Directors! Products: Food: Honey: clover (sweet and mild), buckwheat, and sunflower, and fresh honey comb! Non-food: Beeswax candles |

Sara’s CraftsSara Isaac, Steinbach. At the market since 1996Sara sells her homemade preserves and handmade creations at the St. Norbert Farmers’ Market and also at the farmers’ market in Steinbach. She has always sewn for her big family and as her children grew older, the sewing kept building up and it was time to sell it! Products: Food: Pickles, jams, dills, beets, bread and butter pickles, and party pickles. Non-food: Baby bibs and receiving blankets. |

Scott's Hill ApiaryCharles & Verna Polcyn, Winnipeg. At the market since 2009The happy Honey Bees of Whitemouth, MB have been looked after by Charles & Verna Polcyn and Family since 1974. The number of Hives has grown since then, and we have been at St. Norberts Farmers Market since 2009. Our speciality is different types of nectar flows, as we collect and market at least 7 different types of honey. Clover, Alfalfa, Basswood, Raspberry, Sunflower, Wildflower and Buckwheat. Sometimes we also have Dandelion, and Spring Blossom types of Honey. It depends on the weather and the bee population. All of our honey is collected naturally,and bottled in clean containers of different sizes..Our honey has won prizes at different Honey Shows across Canada. Come by our table and try a different taste of honey when you are at the Market. Products: |
