Donna has eczema and allergies, and has tried many store soaps over the years. Most retail soaps are part or all detergent…made from petroleum products. To be proactive with her sensitivities, she started making her own soaps. She grows her own herbs, and uses organic oils. There are no preservatives, dyes, perfumes or chemicals in her soaps.
Her family encouraged her to try at St Norbert’s Farmers Market. This is her fourth year. She enjoys the market season, “there’s no place like it”. Donna is also the lost and found person for the market.

Customer favorites are: lavender oatmeal, chocolate mint, carrot root, anise, rose oatmeal and the shaving bar!

Rosemary has always had a personal interest in healing and also in herbalism – healing with plants. She does custom blending of her products with various essential oils. She has a portable massage table and does house calls for Reiki treatments. Reiki uses traditional hand positioning on the body with out pressure to provide deep relaxation. Her organic chocolate is bought through fair trade to ensure the cocoa farmers are paid properly. The chocolates can be bought at Eat It Wholesale Organic Foods in Winnipeg.

Blends Aromatherapy

Wendy has been studying Aromatherapy for the past three years out of the Westcoast Institute of Aromatherapy in BC. She has always been interested in alternative forms of healing. When Wendy began to have trouble sleeping, she started to make “Sleep Pillows” which are small wallet sized pillows, filled with various aromatherapy products that are placed inside your pillow case to induce sleep. She found that they really worked and her product line grew from there! EVERYTHING at Vintage Blends Aromatherapy is made from scratch and if you can’t make it to the market, she also takes orders!
