All of the products at Family Choice Meats come entirely from LOCAL FARMERS! You can taste test their products at the market and visit their Winkler store at 10-15th Street.

Jim Lintott and Randy Tkachyk have been farming for over 30 years! When the BSE Crisis hit in 2003, they started their business. It is producer owned and operated. All of their meat is vacuum packed and there are no growth hormones, antibiotics or animal by-products used in their operation. They provide free home deliver in Winnipeg and southeast Manitoba. They have an interac and credit card machine at their vendor for easy payment!

Prairie Organic Producers or “Pop’s” Farm is a collectively owned 100% organic operation. They are certified with the Organic Producers Association of Manitoba (OPAM). They sell their chicken at the market as well as at Organza, Eat It and Vital Health.

Seine River Shepherds is a 120 acre family run sheep farm located along the Seine River just east of the village of Ste. Anne. Our flock of ewes is carefully selected to provide both premium quality market lambs and superior, award winning wool.
By providing value added lamb and wool products direct to the customer, we are able to maintain our farm operation on a scale reminiscent of the original family farms of this area.

Look for us at the market form Mid-August on. That’s when our spring born lamb is ready and by then the early mornings are cold enough that smart Manitobans are starting to think about wool for the upcoming fall and winter

Silver Bridge Farm has been a family farm for 60 years! You will find John and his family members all helping to make Silver Bridge Farm a success at the market!

The Spenst Family owns a store out of Winkler. When the family was hit by the BSE crisis, they had some decisions to make and they decided to open a store and sell their Manitoba meat products. Their store in Winkler also includes a pizzeria and many of their meats are wood chip smoked. Their cattle are raised until they are 16 months old and are steroid and hormone free.

Products: The following products are sold frozen at the market: smokies, frankettes (hot dogs), farmer sausage, frozen pizza, perogies, kebobs, steaks and roasts. Smokies, frankettes and pizza are sold to be eaten at the market.
The approximately 100 bison on Storsley’s Bison Ranch are raised with no antibiotics or growth hormones. Bison meat is low in fat, calories, cholesterol and high in iron. Garnet Storsley is known as “Mr. Bison” and in the evenings he will be found taking calls for deliveries for his wide range of bison products!
