Farmers' Feast comes to the Market, September 16th!

This outdoor feast, hosted at The St. Norbert Farmers' Market, unites some of Manitoba's best chefs with the freshest food from Manitoba's fields and farms. For tickets go to the Farmers' Feast Website or purchase them this weekend at the market (find the ticket table by the ATM).

This little market just got GREENER!

Starting in August, we've placed COMPOSTING BINS on site, for your use. That means that when you eat at the market, instead of placing your food waste in the garbage can, you can put it in the composting bins. Many of our vendors sell on-site food in compostable containers. The waste will be picked up each week by a local company, and turned into compost. So when you buy a burger or empanadas or a cool glass of lemonade, check the packaging. If it is plain paper, or the container says "compostable" on it, PLEASE be sure to place it in the composting bins. We'd like to see the market waste make compost instead of garbage! This initiative is supported by a grant from Assiniboine Credit Union. We provide blue recycle bins at the market, too. So if your garbage can't be composted, check to see if it can go in the recycle bin. Both the recycle bins and the compost bins are labelled with what can go in them. It takes an extra step or two, but our planet is worth it, isn't it?

They come from St. Adolphe, Starbuck, St. Léon, and from as far away as Killarney, Manitoba, bringing wares from their farms to you. Our market vendors excel in offering unsurpassed quality, variety and freshness to their many customers. And shoppers delight in the anticipation of fresh, local Manitoban treats.

At Le Marché St. Norbert Farmers’ Market, everything you see is made right here in Manitoba - you can talk to the person who grew your dinner, meet the baker and the soap maker. Sample cookies, honey and cantaloupe while enjoying music from entertainers and buskers. Browse craft stalls that carry everything from wooden toys and leather purses to outdoor furniture, creative metal works and fine jewellery.

Our Market is an important community gathering place, a source of pride for Manitoba’s residents. We are Manitoba’s largest farmers’ market, where we’re always local, and always fresh!
