In 1988 Bernice began creating her watercolor art. She is a self-taught artist whose inspirations come from people, places or situations that have had a profound affect on her at one time or another. All of her prints are archivally matted and are acid free. Bernice is a traveling watercolor instructor and also does custom commissions work. At the market, she does watercolour demonstrations! Joyce Tripp has been making pottery for 36 years and loving it; her business is named for the wildflower. She makes her own glazes so that she knows what is in them & there is no lead or any other ingredients that would make them unsafe for food. All aspects of creating pottery are of interest to her & she says “there is always more to learn which keeps it exciting”. She also enjoys teaching pottery through the City of Winnipeg. Linda and Chris moved to Canada about 25 years ago from the UK where Linda worked as a teacher of home economics and needlework. She loved to sew and her husband Chris, is a chef by trade. Chris is currently a Culinary Arts Instructor at a local Vocational School. Together, they make a great team. To prepare for the market, Linda sews on Monday and Tuesday, while Wednesday to Friday Linda helps Chris with the cooking and baking.

Murray Watson is a self-taught wood carver who’s career began as a hobby in 1988. He carves mostly in butternut and each carving is mounted on a piece of driftwood gathered from the banks or shores of Manitoba lakes and rivers. He won 1st Best of Show in 2002 at the Prairie Canada Carving Competition. You can also find his work at the Art Gallery at the Conservatory at Assiniboine Park. Murray sells many beautiful pieces including “Wood Spirits” that have a little story behind them…. “It is said that the forests will stand for as long as the Wood Spirit remains to keep order. If you are lucky enough to see one, health happiness and good fortune will be yours. When you are strolling in the woods, keep your eye out for the elusive Lords of the Forest.”

Donna started out making toys for craft sales about 30 years ago! At the market, she still sells her handmade dolls but has now moved on to other handmade pieces such as various bags and aprons! The bags are made by her own design and her hand made dolls are quite unique!

Seine River Shepherds is a 120 acre family run sheep farm located along the Seine River just east of the village of Ste. Anne. Our flock of ewes is carefully selected to provide both premium quality market lambs and superior, award winning wool.
By providing value added lamb and wool products direct to the customer, we are able to maintain our farm operation on a scale reminiscent of the original family farms of this area.

Cathy was taught how to sew by her mother, Dorothy. During her teens, she made all of her own clothes. She really enjoys sewing and loves the challenge of creating new things. She uses various fabrics with her creations such as cotton, blends, faux leather and faux suede. Nestor Gylywoyhchuk was a teacher for 33 years and then decided to take
on a new task! His business name comes from the three Y’s in his
last name! He has been creating his products for the past 10 years. He
uses farm board/barn board to create his work. Essentially, he is recycling
the old wood and making it into something new! He also travels to the
Calgary Stampede, Kenora and Brandon to sell. His biggest seller is his
birdhouse that looks like miniature outhouse with strips of newspaper
as toilet paper! He has many unique pieces such as a candle holder made
from the glass insulation from a hydro pole on top of a recycled twisted
barb wire holder! He also does custom work, mainly for picture frames.
